WHAT IT IS: According to his Island U.K. team, JP has one of the most outstanding voices they have ever come across. He was already self-releasing before he was signed and had built a significant fanbase, which allowed him to tour to packed venues around the country. Even from his early work, you could hear and feel the raw power of his emotive songwriting. This vocal prowess and unerring ability to write songs that touch people has allowed him to win huge support, across the media landscape and in front of audiences alike, whether he’s performing solo with voice and guitar or featured on “Perfect Strangers,” the international dance smash with Jonas Blue. With a diverse group of supporters that spans the likes of Shawn Mendes to Stormzy, JP is a rare artist who can sit across multiple genres. This year, he achieved the huge feat of selling out a headline show at London’s Forum (2k fans), before he’d even released an album, let alone taken a solo single to radio. He has supported Stevie Wonder on the main stage at British Summertime at Hyde Park and collaborated on Jonas Blue’s aforementioned smash, which hit #1 on the iTunes U.K. chart, #2 on the OCC and has been streamed 253m+ times globally. He recently released his new single, “September Song,” which has been taken to radio and will be pushed globally in the hopes of transitioning from the specialist world and into the mainstream media. An album release is currently set for Q1 next year. Ambitions are very high with JP—an artist Island intends to break globally in 2017. He is managed by Tim Mullett at Crisis Management and booked by Jon Ollier at CAA.
