NIGHTSEASON IS
HEATING UP
9/17/18

BY NICOLE GHAPGHARAN

Independent duo Nightseason has done it again with their third single, “Dying in the Heat,” released on 9/14. A taste of what’s expected from their forthcoming EP, the track showcases an eclectic sound from producer Patrick Zeinali and swoon-worthy vocals from Jordan Caiola.

There’s a certain raw emotion behind this one that’s resulted in me having it on loop since its release. Maybe it’s the grungy voice that comes out of Caiola when he howls the chorus, or maybe it’s the bluesy guitar riffs that complement the genre-bending piece.

Describing what the track means to them, Nightseason says, "'Dying in the Heat' is about getting caught up in the routine of a relationship. It's about how much people will give just to remain in their comfortable routine of a relationship even though it may not be worth it in the end, and leaving for someone who will appreciate and value them more might be the better option.”

The five-track debut EP is expected to drop sometime this fall and presents a collection of sounds ranging from modern-day electronic to old school rock and hip-hop. “Dying in the Heat” is just the beginning. Stream the track below.
