ICYMI: THUTMOSE
11/12/18

Last week at L.A.’s Moroccan Lounge, Nigeria-born rapper Thutmose performed to a packed crowd, giving everyone a healthy dose of his freshman project, Man On Fire, as well as a glimpse of what’s to come. Oddly enough, the building next door literally caught on fire after his performance; don’t worry, though—no one was injured.

His high energy and ability to spit bars over smooth beats sets him apart from today’s mumble rap mainstream. Rep’d by TH3RD BRAIN, Thutmose is the full package, transitioning between rapid rhymes and melodic chorus progressions.

For his first mixtape, Thutmose worked with artists such as Pink Sweat$, Desiigner and Jalen Santoy. The Brooklyn-based rapper recently finished touring with Billie Eilish on her North American leg and will be back on tour in 2019, joining rapper MadeinTYO. Tickets for the latter are still available here.
