The Well Pennies, a husband-and-wife duo comprising Bryan and Sarah Vanderpool, recently released their second full-length album, Murmurations via Golden Bear Records. And it’s the feel-good kind of music you didn’t know you needed. Pulling influence from '60s and '70s icons like The Carpenters, James Taylor and Carole King, their folk/pop sound ripples through the sophomore album and highlights their strength in producing lush melodies.
It’s been four years since the release of the last full-length album, Endlings, which garnered 15m+ streams and landed itself on several “Best of 2015” lists. Since then, they’ve released two singles, “Ooh La La” and “Wedding Song,” and have had tracks featured on The Fosters, Switched at Birth, True Blood and more.
Stream the album below, and check out their website for news about upcoming shows here.
