GANG OF YOUTHS RETURNS
6/18/21

After nearly four years, Aussie band Gang of Youths has returned with their latest single, “the angel of 8th ave.”

Arriving alongside a Joel Barney-directed video, the track was entirely self-produced by the band—which consists of Dave Le’aupepe, Max Dunn, Jung Kim, Donnie Borzestowski and Tom Hobden—and mixed by the Grammy Award-winner Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, The National).

The single also marks the first music since the their relocation to the U.K., giving fans a glimpse of the redefined sound they can expect to hear on the rockers’ forthcoming third studio album.

Following the success of their 2017 LP, Go Farther in Lightness—which won four ARIA Awards—the new era of music represents a shift in Le’aupepe’s lyrical approach while they draw inspiration from their new London life.

Having previously played festivals like Splendour In The Grass, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Rock Werchter and Mad Cool, among others, the group is gearing up for new shows with their first performance kicking off at London’s Lafayette on 8/12. For a full list of shows, click here.
