What to Expect at Top 40, Rhythm and Alternative Next Week
Hey, buddy! Here's a look at what the future holds (apart from more apocalyptic weather). We're talking about the immediate future of three key Mediabase radio charts next week. Prepare to have your mind blown.

TOP 40
“Dark Horse” from Capitol’s Katy Perry remains #1, while label-mates Bastille move to the Top 5 with “Pompeii.” Columbia has three hits with impressive Greatest Gainer weeks as Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” joins the Top 5, while Beyoncé f/Jay Z’s “Drunk in Love” and John Legend’s “All of Me” make the Top 20 move. Hollywood’s Demi Lovato remains strong and goes Top 15 with “Neon Lights.” Republic has two tracks joining the chart this week, including newly-acquired The Chainsmokers’ “#Selfie” and Tiesto’s “Red Lights.”

RHYTHM
Columbia
has a great week as Beyoncé f/Jay Z’s “Drunk in Love” continues to hold down the #1 spot, although Capitol’s Katy Perry inches closer with “Dark Horse.” Beyonce’s follow-up track "Partition" will be the biggest debut this week. Pharrell Williams sees "Happy" grab #1 Most Increased again, as it climbs into the Top 5, and John Legend’s “All of Me” continues to build. Jay Z f/Beyonce’s “Part II (All of Me)” also continues to build like a hit. Meanwhile, Jason Derulo f/2 Chainz’ “Talk Dirty” (Warner Bros.) and Lorde’s "Team" (Lava/Republic) have big increases inside the Top 10.

ALTERNATIVE

On their second go-around as a #1 record, Arctic Monkeys’ "Do I Wanna Know" (Domino) is comfortably ahead of the competition and will remain in the top spot on Monday. This week's Greatest Gainer is "Come with Me Now" from KONGOS on Epic, and it’ll move to a fast-rising #7. Next up to the Top 10 will be Virgin's Bastille, as "Bad Blood' will quickly hit #12. RCA's new single from Kings of Leon "Wait for Me" is having a terrific week, now up close to 200x. It’ll move at least #31-22. On the debut side of things, look for WB’s Skaters to enter the chart with "Deadbolt." In the “too close to call” department, Republic's Birds of Tokyo is on the cusp of charting with "Lanterns."
