What to Expect Next Week on Three Key Mediabase Charts

Once again, we cast our minds to the future. A future in which there's plenty of music for all, regardless of race, creed or religion! A future of seamless access via all devices! A future where none shall hunger for music, because--what's that? Oh, we're just talking about what three key Mediabase charts will look like on Monday? Well, that's also interesting.

TOP 40
Two things about the Top 10 will remain the same this week: "Timber" by Mr 305/RCA's Pitbull f/Ke$ha will stay at #1 and "Dark Horse" by Capitol's Katy Perry will be the Greatest Gainer once again. Lava/Republic's Lorde joins the Top 10 with "Team," while Black Magnetic/Epic's A Great Big World moves up again and is poised to join the Top 10. Warner Bros.' Jason Derulo has a +1000 spin gain week with "Talk Dirty" and makes a big jump into the Top 20. Charting this week in a big way are Columbia's Pharrell Williams with "Happy" and Capitol's Naughty Boy f/Sam Smith with "La La La."

RHYTHMIC
It's going to take a last-second surge for RCA's Kid Ink to grab the #1 slot this week. It's neck-and-neck right now, with Pitbull f/Ke$ha's "Timber" (RCA), Beyoncé's "Drunk In Love" (Columbia), and Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" (Capitol) gaining ground. YG's "My Hitta" (CTE/Def Jam/IDJ) and Warner Bros.' Jason Derulo with "Talk Dirty" are having tremendous weeks as well. Look for "Turn Down For What" by Columbia's DJ Snake & Lil Jon "and Pharrell's "Happy" (Columbia) to debut this week.

ALTERNATIVE
Arctic Monkeys
(Domino) establish themselves as a clear #1 with "Do I Wanna Know?" Lava/Republic’s Lorde rises to #2 with her follow up hit "Team." Columbia’s Foster the People makes a significant move to the Top 10 in just three weeks with "Coming of Age." "Sleeping With a Friend" by Island/IDJ’s Neon Trees and Virgin’s Bastille, with "Bad Blood," quickly move inside the top 30. Epic’s KONGOS, meanwhile, seem to have a smash on their hands with "Come With Me Now," which will debut on the chart right around #31!
