According to prosecutors, Eminem is to return to Warren today (6/7) to be booked and arraigned on the charges. The rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, faces up to nine years in prison if convicted on both counts—five years for carrying a concealed weapon and four years for the assault charge. Macomb County Prosecutor

Kimberly Scott Mathers. Sources could not confirm if the fight between the couple was over
Christina Aguilera… Because nothing would make us happier than more Eminem news, here's more Eminem news. In an effort to put things into perspective, the rapper's wife offered her side of the story in an open letter to the
Detroit Free Press. "Just because my husband is an entertainer that does not mean that our personal business is for everyone's entertainment purposes," Mrs. Mathers wrote. "I would also like to state, since my husband has had no problem trying to make me look like an unfaithful wife, that every time I find a picture of him with other women, or read in magazines that he's involved with ‘groupies,' I don't go and show up where he is, making a huge scene and getting our faces put all over the TV and papers." The Matherses will settle their differences on a very special episode of "Ricki Lake."… The man accused of attempted murder in the December stabbing of ex-

Tim McGraw and
Kenny Chesney were arrested Saturday night after performing at the
George Strait Country Music Festival near Buffalo, NY. Erie County Sheriff's deputies said Chesney rode away on a deputy's horse and McGraw tussled with police who tried to round up the horse.
Tom Eoannou, the lawyer for McGraw, said the court postponement will give both sides time to investigate the incident. Eoannou said he is confident the charges will be dropped "with no hard feelings on either side." "It was just some good ole boys havin' a good ole time," he said. "Lucky this didn't happen 100 years ago, or they'd have been hanged as horse thieves." In related news, Eoannou has appealed to

Whitney Houston rejected pleas from friends and family to enter rehab last summer. So says the forthcoming issue of
US Weekly, due to hit newsstands on Friday (6/9). According to the magazine, Houston sat dazed on the bed in her Beverly Hills Hotel suite, with broken beer bottles everywhere, while her gospel-singing mother
Cissy, friends and at least two drug specialists pleaded with her to enter a rehab center. "There was nothing her mother could say that night to make her pay attention," said one source. "It was very sad." The magazine apparently cites this incident as beginning of Houston's "year of living dangerously." No word at presstime whether
Linda Hunt would be tapped for the lead in the inevitable biopic.
