LIMP’S DURST TO THE BIG SCREEN

Of Course, What He Really Wanted To Do Was Direct
By Marc Pollack

April 14, 2000

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has signed on to direct the full-length feature "Runt," the story of a bullied high schooler who fights back, reports Variety.

Durst is getting help from friends in high places. Director David Fincher ("Seven," "Fight Club," "The Game") will serve as a mentor to the singer.

If all goes according to plan and the film finds a distributor, Durst could be behind the lens as early as this fall. This isn’t the first time Durst has been tapped to helm a film. Last October came word that he would direct "Nature’s Cure."

The Bizkit frontman has a busy year in front of him, as his band’s new album is slated for a July 4 release. Limp Bizkit also recorded the theme song for the upcoming film "Mission Impossible 2," the soundtrack for which is coming out May 9.
