Now the two groups have buried the hatchet once and for all with the recording of "Arch Allies—Live At Riverport, " a documentation of the rockers' peace-forging "Battle of the Bands" summer tour. The double album was recorded at the Riverport Amphitheatre in St. Louis, and includes R.E.O.'s "Keep On Loving You," "Take It On The Run" and "Can't Fight This Feeling;" as well as Styx classics "Lady," "Come Sail Away" and "Renegade." The bands come together for renditions of "Blue Collar Man" and "Roll With The Changes."
CMC International Records will release "Arch Allies—Live At Riverport" on Sept. 26. The video version of the show will hit the shelves on DVD and VHS in November.
Said R.E.O. lead singer Kevin Cronin: "Now that Styx got rid of that Nancy-boy Dennis DeYoung, they're cool. In fact, we're all going out to grab a coupla smoky links and get our mullets trimmed."
