MUSIC ROUNDUP: ZWAN, BRAVO, MICK, TANGO CHARLIE

ZWAN TO WATCH
According to MTV.com, Billy Corgan will debut his new band, Zwan, at four Southern California club dates later this month. The group includes former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, Chavez singer/guitarist Matt Sweeney and a bassist (or Pokemon character) by the name of Skullfisher. Zwan will debut with four shows in California, beginning with Nov. 16 at the Glass House in Pomona, CA. Corgan's previous band, Smashing Pumpkins, disbanded last December after a pair of farewell shows in their hometown of Chicago. Since then, Corgan has recorded material with Marianne Faithfull, New Order and Paul Oakenfold and has performed with New Order at several shows.Almost as if to coincide with the debut of his new band, a documentary on his old group will be screened in several cities, including Los Angeles and New York. The 47-minute film, which will be released on VHS and DVD on Nov. 20 as part of The Smashing Pumpkins Greatest Hits Video Collection 1991-2000, follows the Smashing Pumpkins from their first show at Chicago's Metro club to their last at the same venue. It includes interviews with Corgan, Chamberlain and Pumpkins guitarist James Iha.

BRAVO TAKES ON "MUSICIANS"
Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette will be among the first guests to tape Bravo's new series, "Musicians," beginning November 15. Taped in a nightclub setting before a live studio audience in New York, the casual, unstructured show will feature interviews, personal stories and spontaneous performances by the artists. The show premieres February 4, 2002 and is hosted by music journalist David Wild, who promises not to creep everybody out like that guy from "Inside the Actor's Studio."

SOMETHING ELSE TO BE THANKFUL FOR
As if there weren't enough parades and sporting events to tide you over on Thanksgiving, ABC will air "Being Mick," a look at the behind-the-scenes world of Mick Jagger, on November 22. Shot over the course of a year by Oscar winner Kevin MacDonald ("One Day in September"), the one-hour special showcases Jagger's personal life as a musician and a family man, with a portion of the documentary shot by the Rolling Stones frontman, himself. The special also features appearances by U2 frontman Bono, The Who's Pete Townshend, Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz and others, as they collaborate with him on his latest solo album, "Goddess in the Doorway."
