Top 40 is all over Nelly Furtado’s new DreamWorks track, which will emerge as Most Added of the week. Look for Epic’s Mandy Moore to also feel first-week Top 40 love, while Maverick’s Michelle Branch will have a fine follow-up week.

WEEK IN PREVIEW: WHO'S
YOUR DIDDY?

P. Diddy Squares Off With Keys For #1
It looks like a very solid debut week for Arista’s P. Diddy & the Bad Boy Family, which is locked in an album-chart battle for #1 with J RecordsAlicia Keys.

That statement alone speaks volumes about the power of 20-year-old newcomer Keys, whose chart longevity is proving as remarkable as her #1 debut four weeks ago.

Melissa Etheridge’s new Island Def Jam offering is making a run at a Top 10 debut, while the same label’s Sum 41 is showing significant sales gains thanks to a significant jump in airplay.

And speaking of airplay, the Einsteins at Top 40 are all over Nelly Furtado’s new DreamWorks track, which will emerge as Most Added of the week. Look for Epic’s Mandy Moore to also feel first-week Top 40 love, while Maverick’s Michelle Branch will have a fine follow-up week. Mammoth’s Wiseguys, Arista’s Usher and Atlantic’s Craig David will all close out in fine style.

Our way-cool Post Modern peeps are projecting a way-cool radio battle between Roadrunner’s Nickelback, Epic’s Ben Folds, Maverick’s Tantric, American’s System of a Down and Geffen’s Weezer.

Our crack (-smoking) Jamz department is all about IDJ’s Ludacris, whose "Area Codes" is blowing up huge. Also huge is "Contagious" from DreamWorks’ Isley Brothers.

But more important than all of this is actor Robert Downey Jr., who once again avoided jail time on Monday morning when he pleaded no contest to cocaine-related charges in Indio, CA. "This whole rehabilitation thing is kinda groovy," said Downey, during his regularly scheduled freebase session.
