The album, which actually began selling Wednesday at many stores, is on track to sell at least 400k in its first, shortened week on the streets, according to those few pundits who are willing to go out on a limb and put a number on it.
That, of course, will put it on top of our Album Chart, where it’s likely to stay next week as well, barring a successful challenge from Capitol’s Radiohead.
Also hitting the chart will be Jewel’s 0304 (Atlantic), which appears headed for a debut in the neighborhood of 130k, which should make it a solid #2. And look for Train’s My Private Nation (Aware/Columbia) to push toward 100k, boosted by Friday’s television exposure.
Now, to celebrate the victory of Lars, James and the gang, spend a few moments reminiscing and watching some hilarious "Napster Bad" cartoons. Remember those heady days when everyone was an Internet millionaire? That was cool.
Heh heh heh huh. Heh.
