Beyonce's B’Day moves #14-6 and gives her two of the top albums along with Dreamgirls as “Irreplaceable” gets record-setting radio airplay.

DREAMGIRLS NOT ABOUT TO GO

Golden Globes, Oscar Buzz Fuels Soundtrack to #1, Disney’s Jump In Jumps In at #3
Fresh off a trio of Golden Globe awards, the Columbia/Sony Music Soundtrax Dreamgirls album continues its run at the top spot on HITS’ album chart this week, clocking in at just under 60k in sales.

That total was more than enough to turn back SRC/Universal Motown R&B/rap star Akon’s Konvicted, which remains at #2.

Disney’s Jump In, the soundtrack to the highly rated cable-TV movie featuring High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu, is the week’s top debut at #3, with 51k in sales, less than 1,000 more than Justin Timberlake’s Jive/ZLG front-runner FutureSex/LoveSounds, at #4. The total for Jump In completely trounces the first week for Disney’s High School Musical, which turned out to be last year’s top-selling album, but logged only 6k.

RCA/RMG American Idol alum Daughtry continues his strong showing at #5, following by the resurgent Beyonce, whose B’Day moves #14-6 and gives her two of the top albums along with Dreamgirls as “Irreplaceable” gets record-setting radio airplay.

Sony Label Group’s resilient Now 23 (#7), Def Jam/IDJ’s Young Jeezy (#8), Columbia’s Carly Simon (#9) and Roadrunner’s long-runing Nickelback (#10) rounds out the Top 10.

Capitol’s Grammy Best New Artist nominee Corinne Bailey Rae is the week's most impressive gainer, moving #46-26 and +39%, followed by Star Trak/Interscope’s Robin Thicke (#28-16, +27%) and Geffen’s Mary J. Blige (#40-24, +26%).

Chart re-entires include Mercury Nashville’s Sugarland (#38), Show Dog Nashville/Universal’s Toby Keith with the soundtrack to the film Broken Bridges, just out on DVD, and Jive/ZLG’s Three Days Grace (#46).

This week, Virgin’s Stacie Orrico and Koch RecordsRZA hit the streets. Next week, look for Universal Republic’s John Mellencamp, Island’s Saliva, Sub Pop’s The Shins and Sony Music Group’s 2007 Grammy Nominees to emerge on retail shelves.
