It was a fitting celebration of Morris' incredibly successful music business career, which took him from Laurie Records and his own Big Tree label to running Atlantic Records, head of Warner's music holdings to chief of the world's largest record company in Universal Music Group.

Also on hand were Jay-Z, the Jonas Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Josh Groban, Smokey Robinson, Lil Jon and Nelly.
Doug was introduced by his protege Jimmy Iovine with a warm remembrance of how they first worked together on an album by Nicks.
