Glee Cast: The Music Vol. 4 Bow at #5, Gives Hit Show Two in Top 5, Black Eyed Peas Debut in Top 10

Pretty soon, she’s going to be more ubiquitous than Santa Claus at this time of year.

For the second straight holiday season, Columbia’s unlikely diva Susan Boyle is dominating the charts, as The Gift returns to the top spot on the HITS Album sales tally, adding another 257k to its total, which is nearing 1 million.

That is enough to hold off Big Machine’s Taylor Swift, whose Speak Now album climbs a notch to #2, with 177k, bringing her cumulative take to 2.13m.

Columbia’s other secret weapon, 10-year-old opera crooner Jackie Evancho’s O Holy Night, is at #3, with 130k.

Up next is another pair of albums from Steve Barnett’s Team Columbia, giving the label four out of the Top 5, with the Glee Cast Christmas Album at #4 and Vol. 4 bowing at #5.

The only other Top 10 newcomer is Black Eyed Peas’ The Beginning, which enters at #6.

Last week’s #1 album, Roc-a-Fella/IDJ’s Kanye West, drops to #7, with YM/Cash Money/Universal Motown’s Nicki Minaj (#8), Reprise’s Josh Groban (#9) and Def Jam/IDJ’s Rihanna (#10) round out the leader board.

Other debuts of note include J Records/RMG’s Jazmine Sullivan (#15), Six Steps Records Christian artist Chris Tomlin (#19), Def Jam/IDJ’s Chrisette Michele (#24), Curb’s Tim McGraw (#29), Reprise’s Eric Benet (#32), Decca’s Annie Lennox (#40), American Gramaphone’s Mannheim Steamroller (#45) and Def Jam/IDJ’s Ron Isley (#50).

Capitol/EMI’s Now That’s What I Call Xmas Vol. 4 (#28), Six Steps’ Chris Tomlin And If Our God Is For Us (#36) and Universal Republic’s Florence + the Machine (#46) all re-enter.

A quartet of Christmas albums, including Decca’s Andrea Bocelli, the week’s top gainer, moving #32-12, +78%, shows the biggest increases, along with Island/IDJ’s Mariah Carey (#26-14, +43%), Reprise’s Josh Groban Noel (#27-18, +29% and Capitol Nashville/ EMI’s Lady Antebellum (#45-38, +28%).

Next week, look for Atlantic’s T.I. atop the chart, with Epic’s Natasha Bedingfield, Jive/JLG’s Charlie Wilson, Mercury’s Duffy, Def Jam/IDJ’s Redman, Universal Republic’s Hinder and Disney’s Tron: Legacy Daft Punk soundtrack.
