IDEA MAN: Veteran music exec Tom Sturges' book Every Idea Is a Good Idea: How Songwriters and Other Working Artists Get It Done, now available in paperback (via Tarcher/Penguin), explores the creative processes of Sir Paul McCartney and his fellow Beatles, Sir Elton John, Carole King, Paul Simon, Dr. Dre, Diane Warren and other influential artists and writers. The tome has earned plaudits from the likes of Sir George Martin and Clive Davis. Sturges, whose prior posts have included serving as Chrysalis Music prexy and EVP/Head of Creative at UMPG, has also somehow endured sharing the chalkboard with our own Lenny Beer for Jeff Jampol's UCLA Extension course The Music Business Now.
