iTunes charts

DOWNLOAD THIS: Def Jam’s Jhené Aiko is holding strong on the top perch of the iTunes albums Top 10, with indie upstart Lecrae (Reach) breathing down her neck (assuming it’s proper to use such a metaphor in reference to a Christian rapper), in a snapshot of their battle for the top spot on next Tuesday’s chart. Two other debuts—from Epic’s Meghan Trainor and Pax-Am/Blue Note’s Ryan Adams—remain on the leaderboard, along with the One Direction (SYCO/Columbia) and Jason Aldean (Broken Bow) pre-orders; Aldean’s labelmate Dustin Lynch also makes the cut. Meanwhile, the U2 catalog sale continues to inspire iTunes users in search of more Bono for the buck to click on the “Buy” button, with Joshua Tree leading the way at #14 (more on this subject just above). Singles-wise, it’s all about “All About That Bass,” as Trainor’s breakthrough smash continues its stratospheric ascent. But the latest cut from Island’s Fall Out Boy is showing some sizzle as well; it’s the lone debut in the Top 10. (9/12p)
