AIM winners

THEIR AIM IS TRUE: Arctic Monkeys, Twin Atlantic and London Grammar were among the winners at the AIM Awards in London last night. The Association of Independent Music's yearly trophyfest, hosted by XFM's John Kennedy and BBC Radio 1's Alice Levene, saw the Monkeys win the album prize for their AM; their label, Domino, won in the Independent Label category, with parent company Beggars Group's chief, Martin Mills, receiving the Pioneer Award. Twin Atlantic won for Independent Track ("Heart and Soul," seen above), while Columbia's London Grammar took the Breakthrough prize and the PPL Award for Most Played Independent New Act. Twin Atlantic kicked off the proceedings with an acoustic set culled from their Red Bull album Great Divide, which is now Top 10 in the U.K. For a complete list of winners, go here. (9/4p)
