Haley Jones to KGSR

TEXAS GAL GOES HOME: KGSR Austin has tapped Haley Jones as its new PD, starting on 5/5. Jones travels to the Triple A outlet from KPRI San Diego. Emmis Austin Radio VP of Programming & Operations Chase Rupe welcomed her aboard, noting, "We scoured the country and spoke with some of the most talented PDs," but that Jones "had exactly what we needed." A quote from the radio vet reads, "Holy guacamole! As a Texas girl, I fee llike I'm coming home to work with the inspiring team that is KGSR. Thank you to Chase Rupe and everyone at Emmis Radio Austin for the invitation." Jones' first day in the new gig, of course, is Cinco de Mayo, so every time she says "holy guacamole" you have to do a shot of tequila. (4/3p)
