iTunes U.S.

DOWNLOAD THIS: Grammy fever continues to grip the iTunes leaderboard just now, as performers and winners reap the retail rewards of the Music's Biggest Night. Katy Perry's seemingly unstoppable "Dark Horse," Beyoncé's romp with Jay Z, "Drunk in Love," Pharrell's "Happy," the Imagine Dragons-Kendrick Lamar throwdown from the telecast and John Legend's "All of Me" are the primary beneficiaries on the singles side. Meanwhile, in album land, Beyoncé, Bruno, Dragons, Lorde, Daft Punk and the nominees comp stay strong. In other downloading news, Frozen holds onto #1 and looks to expand its frosty empire with in-theater sing-alongs (see item below); by the by, Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" from the Disney ST is just outside the iTunes Top 20, approaching 1 million in sales and about to get much bigger—trust us. As we noted yesterday, Passenger is getting a mad boost from a new Budweiser ad that will air on the Super Bowl; with a big radio push as well, look for this one to ride the chart for a good long while. And how about that Jason Derulo? "Talk Dirty" is clearly stimulating music consumers. New releases by Christian rockers Casting Crowns, Christian hip-hopper Andy Mineo and the Steinbeck-worshiping Of Mice & Men, however, will likely be moving on before our next iTunes briefing.
