ANYONE FOR TEA? Since we last discussed this subject, two weeks have passed, but the primary talking point—that a mega-smash or two will move the needle for a lucky label—remains the same. In the case of chart-topping IGA, that would, of course, be Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” (42.4k in TEA terms) and Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” (18.4k), for a total of 60k and change in would-be albums. Columbia’s recipe for success was skewed more toward album sales per se, with chart-topper J. Cole (55.7k) and #7 Daft Punk (28k), though “Get Lucky” does add just under 18k in TEA, these combined numbers putting Rob Stringer a split hair behind the Iovine/Janick two-headed monster. (7/11a)
