CIRCLES & ORBITS: Love Lust Faith + Dreams, the eagerly awaited follow-up to Thirty Seconds to Mars’ 2009’s This Is War, will street May 21 on Virgin. The LP was produced by Jared Leto, with frequent collaborator Steve Lillywhite co-producing four of the 12 tracks. “This is more than an evolution, it's a brand new beginning,” says Leto. “Creatively, we've gone to an entirely new place, which is exciting, unexpected, and incredibly inspiring." Gracing the cover is "Isonicotinic Acid Ethyl Ester" (2010-2011) from renowned artist Damien Hirst's Spot Paintings series. A second Hirst piece, this one from the Colour Charts series, will appear on the CD itself. First single “Up in the Air” hits radio today and becomes available tomorrow. In partnership with NASA, 30STM launched the first copy of the single was carried aboard the SpaceX cargo mission to the space station, where it will get its premiere today from the astronauts in orbit 230 miles above earth. The band will be standing by at Mission Control Houston while the track is played and will then do a Q&A with Tom Marshburn, one of the astronauts aboard the space station.
