iTunes charts

iTUNES CHARTS: It’s turnover day, boys and girls, meaning the album chart has a fresh new look, paced by the odd couple of Luke Bryan and Jimi Hendrix. Other newcomers: Christian hip-hop group W.L.A.K. (short for “We Live as Kings”; periods in abbreviation apparently optional) and Trent Reznor’s How to Destroy Angels. And that’s not all, folks. Since we boxed up this screen shot, indie singer/songwriter Josh Rouse and Sade-recalling male duo Rhye have crept onto the leaderboard. By contrast, the top half of the singles chart has been relatively unchanged in recent days, but there’s action just below, as the Pitbull-Xtina tandem debuts at #8, and Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive,” which our in-house weasels proclaim to be a stone smash, continues its upward sales movement. Will it be the next rock track to cross over? (3/5a)
