BELLA’S RINGING: BMG Chrysalis U.S. has inked a publishing joint venture with Bella Union Songs, the publishing division of ex-Cocteau Twins member Simon Raymonde’s Bella Union Records. The U.K.-based label was founded in 1997 with a roster that includes such critical darlings as Fleet Foxes, Beach House, Father John Misty, The Walkmen, Explosions in the Sky and Flaming Lips, among others. Said Raymonde: “I can't wait to get started on the opportunity to work with such a committed and passionate team to develop artists, songwriters and producers together." Said BMG Chrysalis SVP Creative Kate Hyman: "We are thrilled and excited to be working on publishing deals with Simon, one of the industry's A&R greats. This is the perfect next step for Bella Union and BMG." (2/5p)
