RATS IN THE CELLAR: Steven Tyler says fired manager Allen Kovac has no business complaining about it, because he was disrespectful, rude, and insulting to his fiancé and his family. So says a declaration filed by the Aerosmith frontman and obtained by (who else?) TMZ. According to the gossip rag, Tyler had been using the Kovac Media Group to negotiate his contract with American Idol, and Kovac brought in lawyer Dina LaPolt to help negotiate the deal, but according to Kovac, LaPolt began trashing Kovac to Tyler and Idol, and Tyler ultimately canned him. Kovac has sued LaPolt, and Tyler is caught in the middle. In the declaration, Tyler says when he hired Kovac's company, he never wanted Allen himself to work with him—he liked another guy in the company, but Kovac kept inserting himself. Tyler calls the lawsuit "an outrage and a travesty." At least he wound up with an attorney he likes. (12/18a)
