CHANNELING THE NUMBERS: That number you've been hearing about the 12.12.12 Sandy benefit concert having raised around $36 million before a note was played? That was from the event's producer, Clear Channel's John Sykes, who told a far more respectable trade publication than ours that ticket sales and sponsorships accounted for that initial sum.
