Divine Fits first show

FITS LIKE A GLOVE: Buzzing indie-rock supergroup Divine FitsBritt Daniel (Spoon), Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs) and Sam Brown (New Bomb Turks)—made their first live appearance Tuesday night at Austin’s Continental Club under the made-up moniker The Hot Skull, and Ultra8201 has posted clips from band's 12-song set. Along with lead single “My Love Is Real” and the Spoon-like “Flaggin’ a Ride,” an amateur videographer documented their cover of Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky" (embedded above). The band plays L.A. Bootleg Theatre Aug. 14, and A Thing Called the Divine Fits (Merge) hits Aug. 28.
