Chieftains Civil Wars Collab

IRISH AYES: “Lily Love,” the first single from The Chieftains’ forthcoming 50th anniversary album, Voice of Ages, featuring two-time Grammy nominee The Civil Wars, is being premiered on RollingStone.com here. The album arrives Feb. 21 on Hear/Concord Music. Also making guest appearances on the album are Bon Iver, The Decemberists, Carolina Chocolate Drops and Punch Brothers, among others. The Civil Wars capped off their phenomenal rookie season by being named #2 on the year-end best album list by Associated Press’ Nekesa Mumbi Moody, who raves: “Their songs about aching love and broken dreams catch your ear, but it's their irresistible harmonies that will make your heart leap.” (12/20p)
