Billboard Changes

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES: Plenty of personnel shifting over at the industry bible, as Billboard executives continue to exit and parent company Prometheus Global Media, which also owns Hollywood Reporter and Adweek, tries to position itself for the brave new digital world. Brand Development President Howard Applebaum has returned to Nielsen as President of the Entertainment Group, which raises issues as to whether that company may once again get into publishing. Applebaum had been with Nielsen since 2000 before the research company sold its B2B titles to e5 Global Media (which morphed into Prometheus) in Dec. 2009 for $70-80 million. Prometheus COO Debi Chirichella has ankled to become CFO at Hearst, while Billboard alum Josh Engroff departed in Sept. to join mobile and exchange start-up Everyscreen Media. (11/23p)
