Get on their iCloud

THE MATCH GAME: Apple went live with its cloud-based iTunes Match service yesterday as part of an overall upgrade. The service costs $24.99 a year, and gives users the opportunity to not only store music they purchased online in "the cloud," but also music ripped from legally purchased CDs. iTunes determines which songs in your collection are available in its store, with any "matching" music automatically added to iCloud. The only songs that must be uploaded are ones not included in the store’s 20 million selections. Once the music is on your iCloud, you can stream and store it on any of your devices upgraded to 256-Kpbs AAC DRM-free quality, even if the original copy was of lower quality. (11/15a)
