Parker, Burkle hook up on possible EMI bid

ADDICTED TO ACTION: Cyber-celeb Sean Parker and billionaire investor Ron Burkle have teamed up again and are considering making a bid for EMI, the N.Y. Post reports. The odd couple, who were interested in being part of a bid for Warner Music, are looking to partner with an existing bidder or jumping into the bidding process already under way, sources told Claire Atkinson, adding that second-round bids for EMI are due by the first week of October, and it could be another two months before Citi makes a decision. Some sources have suggested that Roger Faxon could even stay on to run the company, depending on whether Citi decides to split the company in two or keep it whole. ((9/23a)
