Pacino Plays Phil

PACINO DOES PHIL… HOO-YA! From Dr. Kevorkian to Phil Spector doesn’t seem like such a stretch, does it? If anyone can do it, it’s Al Pacino, who’s set to play the disgraced Wall of Sound producer sentenced to 19 years for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson in 2003. The HBO Films production will be written and directed by David Mamet, while Barry Levinson, who directed Pacino’s Emmy-winning performance in You Don’t Know Jack, will serve as executive producer. Now all they need is an Oscar-worthy wig designer. (10/11p)
