Vevo Added to Google TV

VEVO GETS GOOGLED: Vevo has just finalized a partnership with Google TV, according to ruler Rio Caraeff, which enables its content and shows to be available through any Google TV device, via on-demand or autoplay. The pairing was part of a broader announcement of several new partners for Google TV, including HBO, CNBC and Twitter, but not ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox for now. The TV attachment is meant to serve as competition for Apple’s recently announced $99 box, though insiders are saying set manufacturers like Samsung and Vizio are already planning to include web-ready devices within the TVs themselves for the holiday season.
