Katie Banned from Sesame Street

SESAME STREET KICKS KATY TO CURB: Apparently Katy Perry is too buxom for Big Bird. PBS announced this morning that the scheduled appearance of the pop diva on Sesame Street has been canceled. Earlier this week, a clip of Perry singing a G-rated version of “Hot N Cold” in a low-cut dress to Elmo, was leaked on the Web, spurring outraged parents to protest. In response, the segment, which was set to appear later this year and next on the show aimed at pre-schoolers, was pulled. "You're going to have to change it Cleavage Avenue," wrote one commenter, while another simply joked, "My kid wants milk now." The segment will now be replaced by Snooki crooning “Me No Speak Americano” with the Cookie Monster. (9/23p)
