Apple Polishing

APPLE POLISHING: Apple has sent out invitations for its Sept. 1 conference in San Francisco featuring a hollow-bodied guitar with the company’s trademark as the hole, leading speculators to wonder what Steve Jobs has in store. Speculation ranges from the introduction of their long-rumored entry into the cloud-based music subscription business and updates of the iPod Touch or Shuffle, to renting episodes of TV shows on iTunes for 99 cents or the much-discussed $99 Apple TV. CNET's Greg Sandoval speculates the announcement could be that Apple is doubling their song sample length from 30 to 60 seconds. (8/30p)
