Owl City and Sky Sailing

SKY’S THE LIMIT: Turns out Owl City phenom Adam Young has some more tricks up his sleeve. He was a teenager when he wrote and recorded a collection of songs under the name Sky Sailing, and now the album, An Airplane Carried Me to Bed, comes out on Universal Republic July 27, and it may turn out to be more than just a portrait of the artist before he made it. Said Alternative Press: “Sky Sailing’s first album…is so strong and appealing, Young should consider merging his projects together. This marriage would offer Owl City some much-needed diversity and provide Young a better-rounded sound.” (6/29p)
