Hirschhorn ankles MySpace

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST: MySpace co-President Jason Hirschhorn is leaving the company, TechCrunch reported. His departure makes Mike Jones the sole President of the battered network. "We fully respect Jason's decision to leave and his personal desire to return to New York," said News Corp. digital head Jon Miller. "And as I know Jason agrees, Mike Jones has done an outstanding job leading MySpace into its next evolution and is the right person to take the reins. There are no plans to bring in additional management." Hirschhorn joined MySpace just over a year ago and became co-President in February, following the exit of CEO Owen Van Natta. "I believe in MySpace, its leader Jonesy and its wonderful team," Hirschhorn tweeted after Wired posted the news. (6/18a)
