LANOIS CRASH POSTPONES TOUR, ALBUM: Grammy-winning producer and artist Daniel Lanois was involved in a serious motorcycle accident last weekend in the Silverlake area of L.A., suffering multiple injuries, though he is expected to be released from intensive care soon. Due to the severity of his condition, Lanois has canceled all upcoming tour dates and promotional activity to recuperate for the next two months. Recently signed to Jive Records as Black Dub, which includes Lanois along with the late Chris Whitley’s daughter Trixie Whitley and Brian Blade, the band will release their debut album “when circumstances permit.” (6/8p)
