EMI and TuneWiki Settle

EMI WHISTLES A HAPPY TUNEWIKI: EMI Music Publishing and TuneWiki have reached an agreement allowing the site to use the company’s lyrics in both iPhone and Android apps, according to a report in Digital Music News. The terms surrounding the deal also allow the lyrics to be licensed for use by Vevo. The negotiation could set the stage for TuneWiki to forge deals with the other major publishers. The company recently secured a funding round from Motorola Ventures, among others. (3/8a)
