Lady Gaga dominating Vevo

STAR OF STAGE & VEVO: Lady Gaga is just a split hair less dominant on Vevo than she was in January, Digital Music News points out. "Lady Gaga is no longer 20% of our total views, but there was a time back in January after we launched when that was true for a week," Vevo chief Rio Caraeff told attendees at the Digital Music Forum in N.Y. last week. Caraeff was trying to point out a more diversified content spread on the site. A day earlier, TAG Strategic topper Ted Cohen had asserted that Lady Gaga was generating 25% of all Vevo traffic. Caraeff said Vevo is now doing north of 30 million streams per day, but he acknowledged that 90% of Vevo streams are coming though YouTube. (3/3a)
