TOP 10 WORKOUT TRACKS FOR JANUARY

We don’t see a lot of rock in Run Hundred’s monthly Top 10s, tallied from the votes of thousands of fitness buffs, but three bands made the cut in the month just ended, two of them from Down Under, though separated by four decades. EDM is well represented, as usual. Bowie also shows up via a cover of a classic by Alesso and Tove Lo, so we’ll call it four rock songs but not four rock tracks.

10. AC/DC, “Play Ball” – 119 BPM
9. Deadmau5, “Some Chords (Dillon Francis Remix)” – 129 BPM
7. Penguin Prison, “Calling Out” – 124 BPM
6. Charli XCX, “Break the Rules” – 125 BPM
5. Wyclef Jean & Avicii, “Divine Sorrow” – 130 BPM
4. Mr. Probz, T.I. & Chris Brown, “Waves (Robin Schulz Remix)” – 120 BPM
3. Jessie J & 2 Chainz, “Burnin' Up” – 124 BPM
2. Alesso & Tove Lo, “Heroes (We Could Be)” – 126 BPM
1. Sheppard, “Geronimo” – 142 BPM
8. Ella Henderson, “Ghost” – 105 BPM

You’re probably wondering what’s with the out-of-sequence numbering. After posting these monthly Top 10s for the last couple of years, we just discovered that Run Hundred’s Chris Lawhorn presents his charts as a playlist, not in descending order by number of votes. So we’ve preceded each entry with the order of finish.
