WITH LOVE, ADELE

Adele has spoken. After over a year of silence, the Queen of Pop has revealed all about her upcoming album 25, a “make-up record,” due out via XL/Columbia on 11/20. So who’s set for some apologies?

Via a letter released on Twitter, Adele, managed by September Management's Jonathan Dickins (the son of ITB booking agency boss Barry) said she’s “making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did” with the new music.

She continued: “Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties. Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal fan of my old junk… I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.”

25 was teased last weekend on Simon Cowell’s X Factor U.K. with a 30-second clip that turned everyone on the Internet into a tizzy. The campaign for the new album is expected to be minimalist and there are rumors flying around of TV appearances on SNL and Today, as well as an hour-long NBC prime time special, which will be taped at Radio City Music Hall.

Will 25 top its predecessor, the 11m-plus-selling 21? Is it even possible to do so in the age of streaming? There's a big storm ahead and we've got front-row seats. Watch this space.
