UMPG NASHVILLE'S BIG OL' HAUL

Team UMPG celebrates a fine Nashville week with writer ASCAP Country Awards Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year Sam Hunt, whose poignant new ditty about streaming royalties will tug on your heartstrings. Seen just before Prexy North America Evan Lamberg broke out some longnecks are (l-r) UMPG Nashville VP A&R Ron Stuve, Hunt, UMPG Nashville EVP/GM Kent Earls and Lamberg.

At ASCAP's soiree, Capitol Nashville artist Hunt claimed Song of the Year for "Leave the Night On." He was also one of four UMPG writers to take home most-performed honors (for two of his own songs as well as tunes recorded by Keith Urban and Billy Currington), alongside Jimmy Robbins, Darius Rucker and Ryan Hurd.

The pubco swept up trophies at the BMI Country Awards as well, thanks to writers Luke Laird, Urban, Nathan Chapman, Andrew Dorff, Barry Dean and Troy Verges.

Team UMPG is also celebrating a CMA Song of the Year win for writer Lori McKenna, who co-penned Little Big Town's smash "Girl Crush" (Capitol Nashville).
