The first of our two Nashville Spotlight print edition's cover models, Capitol Nashville superstar Keith Urban has another smash album with RIPCORD, and he offers real insight into his professional, creative and personal life in an in-depth interview in this issue. Still, he probably wishes he could pull a ripcord that would parachute him out of a cover appearance on our low-flying rag.

Our next cover model, Columbia Nashville’s Maren Morris is one of the true breakout stories of the year, as her “My Church” scored bigtime at radio and retail. The singer/songwriter is one of several fresh success stories at the new Sony Nashville. Still, Morris may have been at her “Church” praying not to be appear on the cover of our unholy publication.

Our Nashville Spotlight Contents VIP is none other than the Mouth of the South. Atlanta-based super-attorney Joel Katz, who will doon be honored with the City of Hope’s’ 2016 Spirit of Life Award, has brokered deals for country superstars like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kenny Chesney and George Strait, among countless others, and understands the inner workings of Music City like few others. He’s also well known for his philanthropic efforts, of course. So we’re hoping he’ll have mercy and not sue the pants off us for the Contents Page shout-out in our barely legal mag.
