BLIGHTY BONKERS FOR BLINK

Blink-182 reincarnated have scored their first-ever U.K. Official Albums Chart #1. Released under a label services deal with BMG, California, the group’s first album with new frontman Matt Skiba, scored 24k combined chart sales in Blighty.

Last week’s #1, Adele’s 25 (XL), slips one place to #2, while Coldplay’s A Head Full of Dreams (Parlophone) is #3.

Beyonce wowed London last weekend at the 90k capacity Wembley Stadium as part of her Formation World Tour, which visits Ireland Saturday, and Lemonade(RCA) is ascending the Top 5 as a result, moving up one place to #4. ELO are still enjoying a post-Glastonbury rise with All Over The World (RCA) at #5.

Over on the Official Singles list, the Top 4 remain the same as last week. Drake has now scored 13 consecutive weeks at #1 with “One Dance” (Island). The track comes in third place in the longest consecutive U.K. #1s of all time, behind Bryan Adams’ “(Everything Do) I Do It For You” (16 weeks) and Wet Wet Wet’s “Love Is All Around.”

“This Girl” (3 Beat) from Kungs vs Cookin’ on 3 Burners holds at #2, Drake and Rihanna’s “Too Good” (Island) is #3 and Calvin Harris and Rihanna's “This Is What You Came For” (Columbia) stays at #4. Adele is back in the singles Top 5 with “Send My Love To Your New Lover,” hitting a new peak at #5.

The two new tracks making waves are Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down” f/Daya (Sony), up nine places to #7, and Calum Scott’s “Dancing On My Own” (Virgin EMI), which gives the new artist his first Top 10 single at #10.
