The enigmatic star has another smash on her hands with “Cheap Thrills,” which has exploded at retail and radio after breaking big in the U.K. It’s yet another feather in the camera-shy singer/songwriter’s giant wig, as she makes the label’s sandbagging Joe Riccitelli take the full body mop off. But she’s learned the hard way that it’s no thrill to appear on the cover of our cheap rag.

Our Contents page VIP, meanwhile, is Live Nation topper Michael Rapino. The undisputed king of events has a brace of megastar tours (including Drake, Beyoncé, Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses and the leading lights of Nashville) and major festivals lining the company’s coffers, as well as the recently announced humanitarian Global Citizen Festival in Central Park. Yet one stage he probably wishes he could avoid is a HITS Contents page spot.
