GRAMMY LEGENDS AIRS FRIDAY

Don’t forget to set your VCRs for Friday night’s Grammy Salute To Music Legends, the first-ever concert celebrating the Recording Academy’s Special Merit Award honorees. The show, recorded at Dolby Theatre for Great Performances, airs 9-11:30pm on PBS. Be sure to check your local listings.

Honorees Earth, Wind & Fire, Jefferson Airplane and Herbie Hancock will perform. Patti Austin, Ry Cooder, Lila Downs, Kris Kristofferson, Shelby Lynne, Martina McBride, Naughty By Nature, JD Souther and others will perform tributes to Ruth Brown, Celia Cruz, Linda Ronstadt, Run DMC, John Cage, Fred Foster and Chris Strachwitz. Also being honored is Phillip Riggs, this year's recipient of the Music Educator Award.

David Crosby, David Foster, Jimmy Jam, LL Cool J, Michael Tilson Thomas and Don Was are presenters.
