THREE-WAY ACTION ON NEXT WEEK'S CHART?
There’s action afoot among the new releases vying for the top of next week’s chart, with a possible three-way battle brewing among three very different releases. Kenny Chesney’s hotly anticipated new Blue Chair/Columbia Nashville set is up against surprise drops from Capitol’s Avenged Sevenfold and Meek Mill (WMG).
Avenged’s first set for the Tower is unique, the first-ever worldwide surprise drop in both physical and digital form, and pop-up stores are also in the works to sate the band’s rabid fanbase. Meek’s digital-only set should enjoy a big bump from streaming.
The prospect of a battle is based on very early reads, and our sales geniuses are frantically counting their fingers and toes. One thing’s for sure—this is gonna get hot, and you’ll want to be checking back here all weekend.
