CELEBS SHOW SUPPORT FOR THE MARCH

Countless celebrities lent their voices to the Women's March on Washington and its sister rallies this Saturday—the day following Donald Trump's inauguration. The event, which drew approximately 2.9m participants nationwide, is being called the biggest protest in U.S. history.

Alicia Keys
and Janelle Monae spoke and performed in D.C., and Madonna delivered a fiery speech (as well as some songs, including "Express Yourself" and "Human Nature").

And many stars, such as Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, came out in force for the L.A. gathering, which some sources are claiming drew crowds of approximately 750k. Moby DJ'd, and Juliette Lewis, U2’s The Edge, The Go-Go's Abby Travis and Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk performed together, notably delivering a performance of “Pride (In the Name of Love).”

Of course, many other members of the music community spoke outwardly about their involvement and/or marched in solidarity.

Actors and tastemakers Jane Fonda, Natalie Portman, Jamie Lee Curtis, America Ferrera, Scarlett Johansson, Helen Hunt, Emma Watson and Laverne Cox were also among the participants.
